Associate Principal of Instruction – Grades PreK-2nd – Mrs. Patricia Nash-Walker
Greetings! It is a privilege and honor to be joining the New Boston Elementary School as the Associate Principal of Curriculum & Instruction. It will be an exciting journey to support the staff and students in reforming the instructional and learning practices to promote student achievement.
I am a native of Ashdown, Arkansas where I graduated from Ashdown High School in 1999. I received my undergraduate degree, a BS Interdisciplinary Studies -EC-6th (2012) from Texas A&M University – Texarkana. I have also earned three master’s degrees – MS-Curriculum & Instruction (2015), MS-Instructional Technology & Design (2016), and MEd-Education Leadership (2019) from Texas A&M University – Texarkana.
I have spent the last three years as the Elementary Instructional Specialist for New Boston ISD. During my teaching career, I taught 4th grade for three years, 3rd grade for one year, and 1st grade for one year. In my free time, I enjoy traveling and spending time with family.
I am excited to develop positive relationships with the New Boston ISD community, work with students as they grow, and to support teachers and staff in reaching their greatest potential. I believe a collaborative school environment is key to establishing successful teachers and students. I look forward to meeting each of you and serving the staff, students, and community of New Boston ISD.
Associate Principal of Curriculum & Instruction
Assistant Principal – Grades PreK-2nd – Mr. Scott Hobson
Welcome to New Boston Elementary School, the home of our littlest Lions! I feel fortunate to start another year as the Assistant Principal on our Primary School Campus. This will be my 4th year with NBES, my 8th year with NBISD, and my 21st year in education. As always my aim is to support students, teachers, and parents as we all strive to grow a future for our children together.
My door is always open.
Never hesitate to contact me about ways that we can better serve our students.
Assistant Principal – Grades 3-5 – Mr. Samuel Coston
First of all, I am excited to be a New Boston Lion! I know the 2020 school year will be unique, but I view those obstacles more as opportunities to succeed. I am grateful to be part of a team with such a drive and passion for students.
I am a 2007 Graduate of Ouachita Baptist University, with a BA in Business Administration. While at Ouachita I met my wife, Angela with whom I have three awesome sons: Trent, Moses, and Ambrose. In 2017 I earned an M.Ed. in Education Administration from Texas A&M University-Texarkana.
As an Educator, I have taught Math, Science, Special Ed. with Bilingual Students, GED Courses, and served as a grade level Assistant Principal.
I like to spend my free time running, backpacking, or pretending I know how to fish. If I cannot be outdoors, and my kids permit it, I can be found near the coffee while reading.
